Story from GrabFood rider Helmi Amy:
Happened on Sep 4. According to the rider, instructions were to “bang the door loudly” and now rider believes was being used by a “tailong loanshark”.
Helmi said he was communicating with one via WhatsApp voice chat. A screenshot of the WhatsApp chat shows a phone number with the Malaysia country code prefix “+60”. Rider was to collect $13.10 cash from a Grab customer named Stafen Ho.
Rider says incident took place in Tampines and was not reported to police because the sum was only $13.10.
